Vociferor is a studio project from two determined men, who have a passion for metal, and an even greater passion for God, An EP by Vociferor, a project by two members of Vanguard, Called "Fall of Man" I think this album is a decent black metal and a good start for Vociferor,,The production is alright but that's typical in the black metal scene and I really dig the riffs. I like the fourth song a lot because it is very different than rest of the songs and honestly it is the most interesting one out of the five songs,"Vociferor delivers an epic crushing black metal release sure to grab any fans of the black metal genre. Lyrical themes deal with the downfall of man and seeking hope in the Lord. Vociferor features members of the band Vanguard. This is a Sullen Records limited edition release limited to 250 copies worldwide." -Sullen Records(http://www.holymetalrob.com/)

This is all about An old Thrash Band Similar To Vengeance Rising,This was great stuff especially in their era it was done. Definitely recommended if you liked Vengeance Rising and that era of thrash. They should have been a lot bigger. The Way I underrated and under heard. YES, this does need a cd re-release!And "Brutal Recompense" is early Death Metal Compared to bands like Cannibal Corps and " Crimson Thorn", most would label this Thrash/Death. I would love to see "Raw Meat" And "Brutal Recompense" both get re-released on CD,do not know if this Compillation that I set here is the later released On CD,anyway if you have Any extra info About You Are Welcome to let me Know so that I Could Add it Here(http://www.holymetalrob.com/)

BIOGRAPHY:/REVIEW
Just awesome, amazing. Possibly One OF the best Christian Black Metal Album I've ever heard, and I've heard some great ones. This cd is flawless. If you like black metal at all,Band has went through many changes, ended up breaking up sometime after the release of Prelude. The band reformed under the name X-ray of a Graveyard with more of a death/grindcore/jazz feel to it. After recording one EP under X-ray, once again they broke up. Then reformed as Shyanne, only to record one song, before changing the name to The Mircale Of... Sometime while The Miracle Of... began some members decided to "reform" Dark Lay Still as a stuido project, and to record a full-length. After recording one song, nothing else was ever heard from them(http://www.holymetalrob.com/)

BIOGRAPHY:REVIEW:
Noiz is a Death Metal band out of Germany. They were formed in 1991, but in this and also the following years the music was pretty bad. So they performed first in 1993. But in December 1994 they already split up the band. Their Guitarist Elling went to Seventh Avenue. But after a few years, in late 1997 they reformed the band. In 1999 they brought out their first CD "Seeds of Living". In 2000 Elling's little brother Torben joined the band, which was a good improvement to their sound. Unfortunetaly they finally broke up in 2003, because of some geographical problems(http://www.holymetalrob.com/)

Speculoos smoothie, veganmofo 2009
When I was a child, once a year my mother used to buy ginger snap cookies in an rustle-y orange paper sack. These cookies were only available in October. They were large and flat and crackled on top.
They seemed very hard and crunchy on the outside but when I started chewing them, they got tacky, and stuck to my teeth. My mother and I loved these spicy cookies, looked forward to them every year and lamented the fact that we couldn't buy them whenever we wanted.
I would open the bag and inhale their spiciness. The fragrance was so strong I could almost taste the cookies before they touched my lips.
Today I added speculoos spice blend and a small amount of agave nectar to my almond milk-banana-mango smoothie, and when I took my first mouthful, I heard the rustle of that orange paper sack, smelled the gingersnaps, and saw my mother's smile.

Breads and speculoos / veganmofo 2009
I want to say upfront that I haven't been sent a review copy of the cookbook I'm about to mention (darn - I'd love to review it). It's just that the authors have developed a bread baking style that fits perfectly with the theme of this blog. Following their method couldn't be easier, and I've been playing with their recipes since their first cookbook, "Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day" was published. I used their technique, but made the recipes healthier by using whole grains, less salt, etc. Now they've come up with a new book called, "Healthy Artisan Bread in Five Minutes A Day," and of course I watched their video, and made bread. I haven't actually seen the new book yet, but I know it has recipes using whole grains, fruits and veggies, plus a chapter on gluten-free baking. It's not a vegan cookbook, but probably easy for a vegan cook to adapt the recipes.
The bread pictured above was made from the basic recipe. I didn't have any unbleached flour on hand so I subbed semolina flour. For the topping I used a mix of sesame seeds, caraway seeds, dill seeds and crushed red pepper. The bread was delicious with the kind of springy texture I love, and it looked very pretty.
The dough - a rather wet dough - is mixed and stored in a container in the refrigerator, and taken out in blobs whenever a bread is needed.
Tonight I needed to make a bread with the speculoos spice mix I got from Mihl's blog. (Are you reading this, Mihl?) I grabbed a blob of dough and rolled it into a rectangle. I mixed one tablespoon of speculoos spice mix, one tablespoon of cocoa, three tablespoons of evaporated cane juice and about 1/2 cup of raisins, and spread it onto the dough. The dough was then rolled up and the edges sealed. You can see from the photo I didn't do a very even job - perhaps I was rushing - but the taste is delicious.
The authors will be in Seattle Monday night to do a reading and book signing and I hope to be there. I doubt they'll be talking about speculoos!

BIOGRAPHY/REVIEW:
Formed in 2002 by Bassist Lucky Santana, TO THE LAMB is practicing a Heavy Metal Eighty based on old British School, but the sources of drinking modern hard rock. All with the aim of bringing the message of Christian Heavy metal for all.In 2004 The Band Released their Demo cd entitled "Days of Revelations" and received positive critical of the two major magazines of rock from Brazil, “Roadie Crew” and “Rock Brigade”. At the time, the group was formed only by Lucky, who was also Vocalist, and Guitarist Renato "Ivory" Fonseca. After several presentations and exchange of members, the band ended up getting a break away from the scene.TO THE LAMB mixes experience with youth, showing compositions worked well and vigorous, to please both fans of heavy metal faster and captivating as those who appreciate brought more cadence, with riffs gooey.Besides Lucky Santana as the owner of four strings, the band has the singer Nickson, who has A Voice hoarse and aggressive as far right for the character performing the new and old songs need. On Drums, Samuka Drum tells the scrap, with his strong footprint, mixing the characteristics of pure heavy with influences from the rock of the 70s - a fruit of years of road placed in luggage. The band also has Silas Santos, the "Gulliver", holding firm rythm and melodic lines and Clei Detilli, young Guitar Player with great energy to complete the type of Guitar Players, after the departure of some members.Currently the group is fully concentrated on recording his album, and doing tests with Keyboarders to finalize the line-up(http://www.holymetalrob.com/)

Buffy / random food / veganmofo 2009
Buffy got groomed today and she looked so cute I had to give her some blog space. Buffy is at least 16 years old and holding her own quite well. She's still sweet and playful. I found her at the Humane Society when she was three, and she's been with us ever since. She was adopted to be our beloved Starr's sister so he would have company during the day, and they had a lot of good years together. Now Buffy lives only with humans but she doesn't seem to mind. In fact, at this stage of her life she's not that into other dogs anymore, though she still gets excited to see a cat. Lucky for her, two of her human brothers have cats, and sometimes she gets to visit them.
Buffy reclining regally (and hoping I'll go away and stop taking her picture).
At the secondhand store yesterday I found two really nice little white CorningWare dishes. They're rounded rectangles about 5 inches by 7 inches, and the perfect size for heating up and serving a single portion of lunch. I was envisioning them as handy little serving dishes for spreads or olives at a party. They were only fifty cents! Here you see one filled with leftover quinoa pasta (my favorite) and stir-fry from the previous night's dinner.
My son has been making himself humongous burritos with different fillings. I wanted today's potato-carrot-pea-chipotle-tofu filling but not the tortilla so I made a salad and put the filling on top for a burrito salad. It was great. Below you can see one of the burritos.

BIOGRAPHY/REVIEW:(Inversion)
well it all started at Biola university. a few and i mean of us guys there we're into metal. myself ( jairus ), Jeff, Roland, and Nathan. Roland introduced me to Jeff and Nathan and we decided to try and write some songs and try to get on a comp album, just to prove that Christians could shred as well as anyone. . . it turned out to be a venture that became a very well loved underground death metal outfit called Inversion. . . over the next few years Inversion went through some member changes. Nathan left for educational and occupational reasons and quickly after that jeff and I were looking for other folks. As luck would have it Justin and Mike had just started at Biola and were looking to sink their teeth into some pure metal madness. Also to our surprise Justin had a friend named Raymond who was a machine gun on the Drums. and so with jeff shredding, mike throwing the low end, myself handling the low growls, justin hitting shrieks that gives dani filth fits and raymond beating the kit: Inversion was ready to rip some faces up!!.
REVIEW:
They were young on the pic below, and this shows it. The improvement with their next album is very, very evident, Man, this was a pleasant surprise! I usually don't care much for death metal with this kind of Growling Vocals (sounds like an over-hungry stomach!), but these guys really are different. Sounding a bit like bands such as Obituary and Cannibal Corpse, they ad elements of black and thrash metal to keep it interesting. It's not full speed all the time, but tempo-changes and use of different vocal-styles are also key ingredients. They have even made room for An Acoustic Ballad, with Clean Vocals!! The production is also quite good for an independent-release. 'The Nature Of Depravity' gave me the same feeling as hearing Biogenesis and Ultimatum for the first time, no comparison in style to these bands though. Inversion is a band I will pay attention to, 'cause I suspect we will be hearing more from them! Killer Tracks: "Unsung Hero" & "Thieves", "Damnation Undone" By the way do not know if the album " ECHOES OF ETERNITY" Is one incoming album I Just took it from their Myspace pics, anyway hope it will...this band brings me to mind " Deracination" And Decision D Another Great Christian Death Metal Band underground there(

BIOGRAPHY/REVIEW:
Another Great Death Metal band from Brazil,Excellent Death/Grind, kudos to the Female Vocals! Every song is super intense and the Band pummels through without blinking. Very fast death metal offered up here with bold lyrics. Make sure you check this Cuz This is a huge step forward from "Annulling Dark Forces" in every way. Very brutal and lots of fun for anybody who likes blast-beats (which, of course, should be anybody who's remotely interested in this band or album,Spirit's Breeze continues their merciless death metal onslaught on their new release "None Should Perish". It's fast, brutal, heavy and noise like brutal death metal should be, but I could use some more memorable melodies (guess I'm not a big fan of brutal death metal However, they do have more melody on this release compaired to "Eternal Suffering "from a few years ago.The lyrics ar e still focused on christianity and The Victory in Christ. And they are equally proclaimed by the Guitarist as well as the Vocals and they duet each other very well! Great growl through out the entire album!(http://www.holymetalrob.com/)
